Who Is The Brown Wizard
The real Brown Wizard owns a bookstore in Meadowbrook, where he lives with his granddaughter, Princess Little Bitty. In his retirement, he crafts spell books for those who need them most. He has a independent book store called, wait for it….. Brown Wizard Books.
Yes, the Brown Wizard exists only in the mind of the most creative person I’ve ever met—but what a mind that is. He’s an author, a lyricist, a world-builder, and the origin of realms I never knew existed.
He is the spark that lit a fire in the world of storytelling, a fire that will never burn out.
long live the Great Brown Wizard.
Many years ago I wrote a book for my daughter and granddaughter. I wanted to pass it down to their daughters. It was a lighthearted book written to make them laugh and giggle. I wanted it to get published by a big publishing company, but no one wanted it. There wasn’t enough “hype” for books like that, said the last publisher I spoke to. So I put it on the back burner. My daughter and granddaughter Princess Little Bitty died 2 days after I got that last letter from a mainstream publisher. That was in 1992.
30 years later I read a story that broke my heart all over again. The author also had a Princess Little Bitty in his story. Then I read another one of his stories. It felt like he was writing my stories. They all had a theme where an old man that had a granddaughter named Princess Little Bitty that he loved. But the author wasn’t even 40 yet. And he didn’t even have children. How did he know me. So I wanted to meet him and I found out he was in prison. I had a nephew in prison and all he did was try to con people out of money. He always seemed to be in some kind of trouble and owed money to everyone. So I had reservations about who I was going to meet.
The man I met was not what I expected. If I has met him outside of prison I would never had guessed he had ever been in trouble before. Polite, respectful, well spoken. And not a one tattoo. So he had long hair and a beard. Maybe a little homeless looking, but not that bad.
But we did have one thing in common that gave us a common purpose. We both were stuck trying to get our books published by well known publishing companies. We both realized that was probably not going to happen. He couldn’t go to a book signing due to his incarceration. And I had no one left to give my book to. So I decided to start my own publishing company. Why not, it couldn’t be that hard….
2 years later, Fiction manifested into reality when Brown Wizard Books lept from the pages of fiction into reality.
I dont know anything about making spell books, but I am going help everyone that I can.
